AW 0608® – Air Cooled Oil Cooler & Air Cooled Hydraulic Heat Exchanger

These are Plate and Fin type Oil coolers. These are heat exchangers that use ambient air to cool the fluid – oil, thermic fluid, coolant etc. That is to say that heat exchange takes place between the hot fluid & the cool ambient air. Typically on the oil side there are internal fins or tabulators between two plates. On the air side there are external fins between two plates. The heat from the fluid or oil is picked up by the tabulators or internal fins & transferred to the plates. The plates in turn transfer the heat to the external fins. The cool ambient air provided by the fan removes the heat from the external fins. The internal & external fins not only help increase the surface area, but also bring about turbulence of the two fluids resulting in better cooling effectiveness.

  • Oil flow handling up to – 1 to 20 LPM.
  • Cooling capacity up to – 1085 Kcal/h (1.3kW).
  • Application: These hydraulic oil cooler radiator / air cooled heat exchangers are best suited for small hydraulic power packs, gear boxes, die / mould cooling, drain Line cooling of high pressure Variable Displacement pumps.
  • These can be used in applications where there is a steady oil flow of up to 20 LPM (Max pressure 10 bar). The plate fin design of AW 0608 can handle slight pulsations or variations in the flow.
